Carbon Reduction Plan
The Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) at Datasumi details our strategic methods and actions to reduce the environmental impact of carbon emissions. With our CRP, we can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint and promote sustainability efforts. This plan includes various strategies, such as embracing energy-efficient practices, shifting to renewable energy sources, and implementing waste reduction and recycling initiatives.

Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)
Carbon emissions data at Datasumi Ltd is reported solely at the company level. Consequently, it is included in the Carbon Reduction Plans (CRP), which calculate the proportion of the entity's turnover to that of Datasumi Ltd's total turnover. This percentage is then employed to determine the entity's emissions as a fraction of Datasumi Ltd's overall emissions. In June 2022, Datasumi Ltd established science-based targets for reducing carbon emissions related to energy consumption and business travel in alignment with global goals to restrict global warming to 1.5°C. All targets mentioned in CRPs are based on the targets set by Datasumi Ltd.
CRPs have been developed for PPN06/21 by its required guidelines and do not reflect Datasumi Ltd’s comprehensive strategy for minimising its carbon footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)? A CRP strategy outlines how an organisation will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. This plan typically involves energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy projects, and other actions that reduce the organisation’s carbon footprint.
What are the benefits of a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)? By implementing a CRP, an organisation can reduce its environmental impact, save money on energy costs, and improve its sustainability. A CRP can also help an organisation meet regulatory requirements and demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship.
How can an organisation create a Carbon Reduction Plan? Creating a Carbon Reduction Plan begins with assessing the organisation’s energy usage and emissions. This assessment should include a detailed analysis of the organisation’s energy sources and opportunities for reducing emissions. After the evaluation, the organisation can develop a strategy that outlines specific actions to reduce its emissions.
What types of actions can an organisation take to reduce emissions? There are many actions an organisation can take to reduce emissions, such as improving energy efficiency, transitioning to renewable energy sources, investing in green technologies, and implementing energy management strategies.
How can an organisation measure the success of its Carbon Reduction Plan? An organisation can track its greenhouse gas emissions, compare its emissions before and after the plan's implementation, and monitor the reduction in emissions over time.
What is the difference between a Carbon Reduction Plan and a Climate Change Plan?
A Carbon Reduction Plan focuses on reducing an organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions, while a Climate Change Plan focuses on mitigating the impacts of climate change. A Climate Change Plan typically includes strategies to reduce emissions and adapt to the effects of climate change. What are some challenges associated with implementing a Carbon Reduction Plan? Implementing a Carbon Reduction Plan can be challenging due to the costs associated with improving energy efficiency and transitioning to renewable energy sources. Additionally, organisations may need more stakeholder support due to the changes required to reduce emissions.
What types of organisations should create a Carbon Reduction Plan? Every organisation can benefit from creating a Carbon Reduction Plan. However, organisations operating in heavy energy sectors, such as manufacturing and transportation, will benefit the most from having a CRP.
How often should an organisation update its Carbon Reduction Plan? An organisation should review and update its Carbon Reduction Plan at least once a year. This will ensure that the organisation is on track to meet its emissions reduction goals and that any energy usage or emissions changes are considered.
How does an organisation communicate its Carbon Reduction Plan to stakeholders? An organisation can develop an outreach plan, including presentations, webinars, and public meetings. Additionally, the organisation can create a website or other materials that provide information about the project and its progress.
